Health Ministry: Ukraine to start healthcare reform in 2014

The reform of the healthcare system in Ukraine shall start in 2014, announced the country’s health minister Oleksandr Anischenko at a press conference which took place in the middle of July 2011 in Kyiv.

Later on, Mr. Anischenko announced that national health insurance will be introduced in Ukraine in 2015-2016, after the reform of the healthcare system. On May 24 President Yanukovych appointed Oleksandr Anischenko as Ukraine's new health minister.
