Polish market of value added and multimedia services on a stable course - April 2011

Year by year, the revenues obtained by telecom operators from value-added services have been gaining in importance. This is caused primarily by their stable growth and stagnation, but frequently also by a decrease in revenues from basic services. Hence, there is market pressure to maximise convergence of telecommunications services. Pay TV with its offering is very well positioned to benefit from such trends.

The Polish market of value added and multimedia services is characterised by a successively growing number of users and double-digit growth in terms of value. This suggests that the market saturation regarding these services is still relatively low. In 2010 the value of the market amounted to PLN 9.6 bn, with growth at the level of 17%.
