Software applications, ICT services and infrastructure at SMEs in Poland 2010 – HoReCa sector - May 2010

The largest proportion of respondents (almost 60%) from the HoReCa sector said that in 2009 they used various sorts of services involving installation, technical support and maintenance of hardware and software. PMR estimates that this group includes some 2500 businesses. 40% of the surveyed companies did not use IT services (other than provided by own IT department, if any).

Compared to other sectors of the economy, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the HoReCa industry relatively rarely used EU funds to finance IT projects in 2009. Only 2% of respondents admitted that they invested such funds to finance their IT improvements.

The article is based on the report “Software applications, ICT services and infrastructure for small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland 2010 Based on a survey of 800 Polish SMEs”.
