The current ongoing downturn in the global economy has also affected India, particularly the sunshine industries, such as cars, textiles, housing, cement and metals (ferrous and non-ferrous). This has, in turn, prompted the Government to activate a number of measures aimed at providing a major incentive to these and associated areas of business.
