Residential construction in Poland: 50% growth to PLN 17bn in 2008 - September 2008

The residential construction segment in Poland will be growing until 2010, driven by high sales of dwellings on the primary market in 2006-2007. Accordingly, the number of new housing units coming on market will increase, and the value of construction and assembly output will expand significantly. However, the problems currently faced by developers in selling new homes will induce them to reduce planned projects, which may result in a substantial decline in housing completions starting from 2011.
