The Latvian Construction Qualitative Study 2008. CEEC Research - October 2008
The Latvian Construction Qualitative Study 2008 is analysing four key areas of the Latvian construction. All data are based on the face to face interviews with local construction companies. In the first part the report presents expectations about the industry development and also companies expectations about their sales and market share changes. The second part examines sources of information used for new business deals acquisition, rating of the sources and also methods of Internet usage. The third section describes how the construction companies in Latvia acquire new business deals, what is their experience with bribes and also tenders transparency, level of their risk management and also if/how often have they breached their risk management policies in order to secure a contract. Further more, this chapter examines methods by which construction companies select their suppliers, what are the key criteria, how often do they select, etc. The last part of the report is devoted to the perceptions of the companies about the EU enlargement and what are the key areas that will be impacted most by this development.
